Margin requirements are tied to the leverage you use. Changing your leverage will cause change in margin also. Just as spreads margin also may change depending on market conditions
Around the release of relevent high-impact economic news, new positions on XAU and XAG pairs are limited to 1:200 leverage. This applies from 15 minutes before the news release to 5 minutes after.
The same higher margin requirements also apply three hours before it opens in winter or two hours before in summer. When there is a change in margin requiremens due to holidays, we will inform you.
All new XAU positions opened in te 30 minutes before te daily break will be subject to increased margin requirements with leverage being capped at 1:1000.
